Minku and the Magic Mango Tree

Once upon a time, in a lush forest by the Godavari River, there stood a majestic mango tree. The tree bore the sweetest, juiciest mangoes that all the animals adored. But the mango tree had one rule: "Pluck only one mango at a time. Greedy hands will get nothing!"

One day, a clever monkey named Minku spotted the tree. Minku was hungry but also mischievous. “Why settle for one mango when I can take a bunch?” he thought.

Minku waited until nightfall and climbed the tree stealthily. He picked a mango and ate it. It was so delicious that he couldn’t resist plucking another, and another, until he had a pile of mangoes around him. But just as he reached for one more mango, the tree shook violently, and its branches trapped Minku!

Startled, Minku cried out, “Oh no! I promise I won’t be greedy again!” But the mango tree was silent. Minku realized he had broken the tree’s rule.

The next morning, the other animals gathered under the tree and laughed at Minku’s plight. A wise parrot flew close and said, “Minku, apologize sincerely and promise to follow the tree’s rules.”

Minku nodded and said, “Oh mighty tree, I’m sorry for my greed. From now on, I will respect your rule and take only what I need.”

The tree released its branches, and Minku, humbled, shared the remaining mangoes with the other animals. From that day on, Minku followed the tree’s rule and learned the joy of sharing!
